Resources for Your Women-Owned Business
For women starting up their own business, the Small Business Administration offers lots of free resources.
"The SBA helps women entrepreneurs launch new businesses and ... connect with the training and funding opportunities specifically for women."
This includes:
Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO)
Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Federal Contracting program
National Women’s Business Council (NWBC)
Training Online with DreamBuilder
In addition, they have a large number of partner resources available including the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO), the Association of Women's Business Centers (AWBC) and the National Association of Women in Real Estate Businesses (NAWRB) to name a few.
You can also get advice and business counseling from the SBA's partner organizations like SCORE mentors, Small Business Development Centers, and Women’s Business Centers. They provide counselors and other resources for women-owned start-ups.
You'll be able to find what you need and have plenty of support as you follow your passion and compete in the marketplace.
